Welcome to League of Women Voters Park Rapids Area new Website

Welcome to the League of Women Voters Park Rapids Area (LWVPRA) new website.  This website is for everyone in the Park Rapids, MN area who cares about Making Democracy Work for All.

LWVPRA is a non profit LLC local league associated with and under the policies of League of Women Voters US and League of Women Voters Minnesota. 

The purpose of this website is to educate the public in the Park Rapids Area and Hubbard County about the process of being a citizen both your rights and responsibilities. We want to compile a local website that has information on all things voting:

• how and where to register
• where are the polling places, 
• when and where are the candidate forums
• where can you find ways to become educated about issues especially those that effect our local area.

Please remember that LWV Minnesota and LWVPRA is nonpartisan in both our education and our advocacy. 

We never support political parties or candidates for public office. We support issues that have been arrived at through a consensus process involving all league members.
